Metrorail runs from about five in the morning until just after midnight, seven days a week. How often a train comes depends on where you are standing: on the shared central section both lines call, so the wait is roughly half.

What you actually wait, station by station
The figure that matters is not the line frequency but how often any train that can carry you turns up. The weekday column is daytime: at the peaks the lower figure, at midday the higher one. After about 8 pm on weekdays every station except the airport waits about 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Around 5:00 am on the Green Line and 5:04 am on the Orange Line, on weekdays.
The last trains finish just after midnight — about 1:04 am. There is no overnight Metrorail service; late at night Metrobus takes over.
Yes, the Green Line runs the full route every 20 minutes (every 30 late in the evening). The Orange Line runs only as the airport shuttle.
At the weekday peaks (roughly 6–9 am and 3–6 pm) each line runs every 10 minutes, so on the shared section between Earlington Heights and Dadeland South a train comes about every 5 minutes. At midday each line runs every 15 minutes (about every 7–8 on the shared section). After about 8 pm the Orange Line is only the airport shuttle and the Green Line runs every 30 minutes.
