About Northside
Northside is a Green Line station on NW 79th Street, in the northwest of the city, and it works mainly as a park-and-ride and bus interchange for the residential districts around it. The Orange Line never comes this far north, so the Green Line alone serves the platform: trains run about every 15 minutes on weekdays and roughly every 20 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays.
Government Center is 19 minutes to the south, with Metromover and downtown bus routes waiting at the end of the ride. Head the other way and the Tri-Rail transfer station is the next stop, two minutes up the line, which turns Northside into a useful link for anyone continuing into Broward or Palm Beach County. There are 294 spaces in the surface lot, and the station carries one of the commissioned artworks installed across the Metrorail system.

Around the station
Northside sits among the residential neighborhoods of northwest Miami, with Model City and Liberty City spreading south and east of the tracks and Brownsville the next stop down the line. NW 79th Street is the commercial spine here, a long run of small stores, takeout places and service businesses, and it carries busy east-west bus routes toward I-95 in one direction and Hialeah in the other. This is a local district rather than a visitor one, and most people at the station are commuting, changing to a bus, or riding one stop north to Tri-Rail.

Yes. Northside has a surface parking lot with 294 spaces, one of the larger park-and-ride lots on the northern half of the Green Line. Parking is charged separately from your $2.25 fare, so check the current daily rate before you set out.
Only the Green Line serves this station, so trains come about every 15 minutes on weekdays and roughly every 20 minutes at weekends. The line runs from around 5 a.m. until shortly after midnight.
Ride the Green Line south to Earlington Heights and change there onto the Orange Line, which takes you to the airport station. No train from Northside runs to the airport directly, so that change applies every day of the week.
Almost. The Tri-Rail transfer station is the very next stop north, two minutes away, and from there Tri-Rail commuter trains run up the coast toward Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Tri-Rail charges its own separate fare.
