About Brickell
Brickell serves Miami’s financial district, the dense stand of bank towers and high-rise apartments just south of the Miami River. The station sits on the shared central trunk of the network, so both the Orange Line and the Green Line call here and you simply board whichever train arrives first. On a weekday that means a wait of around eight minutes; on Saturdays and Sundays it stretches to about twenty.
Government Center, the downtown hub, is one stop and roughly two minutes away, and Miami International Airport is about seventeen minutes out on a weekday Orange Line train. There is no park-and-ride parking at Brickell, so almost everyone arrives on foot, by bus, or on the free Metromover, whose Brickell loop threads the station into the surrounding district. Office workers dominate the morning peak.

Orange and Green Line trains both call here on weekdays, so the wait is roughly half what either line shows on its own. At weekends only the Green Line runs through.

The station opens straight onto the Brickell district: office towers along Brickell Avenue, Mary Brickell Village, and the shops and restaurants of Brickell City Centre are all in the immediate neighborhood, with Brickell Key sitting out in the bay to the east. Cross the Miami River to the north and you are in downtown Miami. Simpson Park, a surviving pocket of hardwood hammock, lies close by, and the Underline linear park runs beneath the elevated tracks. Metromover stations on the Brickell loop put the rest of the district within easy reach at no charge.

On a weekday, take an Orange Line train from the airport station and stay on it — Brickell is roughly seventeen minutes away, with no change of train. At weekends the Orange Line does not run through, so ride the Airport Shuttle to Earlington Heights and change there onto a Green Line train.
No. Brickell has no park-and-ride garage or lot, which is normal for the stations in the central part of the network. If you are driving, use one of the outer park-and-ride stations and ride in.
Yes. The Metromover’s Brickell loop links the Metrorail station with the rest of the financial district and, further north, with downtown Miami. The Metromover is free to ride, so no ticket is needed for that leg.
A one-way Metrorail fare is $2.25, or $1.10 at the reduced rate for eligible riders. Because two lines share the platform here, trains come about every eight minutes on weekdays and roughly every twenty minutes at weekends.
