About Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove station stands on SW 27th Avenue where it meets South Dixie Highway, on the inland edge of the neighborhood rather than in its waterfront heart. It is a commuter station first and foremost, with a 199-space lot, used by Grove residents heading downtown and by people arriving for the bayfront parks and the village. Orange and Green Line trains share the track here, so one turns up about every eight minutes on weekdays.
Government Center is eight minutes north, Vizcaya three minutes, and Douglas Road two minutes back toward Coral Gables. From Miami International Airport, allow about 23 minutes on a weekday. Weekend trains are noticeably thinner, roughly one every 20 minutes, which is worth checking before heading out for an evening in the Grove. The station also carries commissioned public artwork.

Orange and Green Line trains both call here on weekdays, so the wait is roughly half what either line shows on its own. At weekends only the Green Line runs through.
Around the station
The station opens onto the residential streets of the Grove, with the West Grove and Grand Avenue to the south and Coral Gables just across US-1 to the west. The village center — CocoWalk, the restaurants and shops around Main Highway, and beyond them the marinas and Miami City Hall at Dinner Key — lies southeast toward the bay. It is a real walk rather than a hop across the street, and buses cover the distance. The bayfront parks along South Bayshore Drive sit on the same side.
