Overview

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is a 1916 Italian-Renaissance-style villa built on Biscayne Bay for the industrialist James Deering. Its opulent house, formal gardens and carved stone barge are among the most photographed sights in Miami and a National Historic Landmark. The Metrorail station named after it is one of the network’s most useful: parking at Vizcaya is limited and fills early, but the train drops you a five-minute walk from the door, so you skip the queue for the car park entirely.
